Bruno Fontes Ferreira da Silva, born September 25, 1979, in Curitiba, Brazil, and raised in Florianópolis, began sailing at age eight. A Laser class specialist, he represented Brazil at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, won silver at the 2019 Pan American Games, and competed in multiple World Sailing Championships. He now coaches and promotes sailing in Brazil.
